Family!
We have a whole bunch of people (and a few chickens) helping us make your Corgi Love Tale possible. Our corgis are universally loved (magic?). They make our days brighter, especially when we see the smile they put on the faces of our family. Our kids are happier, healthier, more complete people because they get daily doses of uninhibited love and joy from the pups we’re sending home with you.
A serendipitous start
The story of how Corgi Love Tales came to be is a tale indeed. Our first sire and dam, Burton and Valerie, were paired by their breeder. We fell in love with the whole process. From the moment Tara and Denise met and introduced the dogs everything felt right. That is until the breeder, now living in Florida, sent someone to dock tails and clip dew claws. It did not go well and traumatized everyone involved. Aside from losing body parts, the pups are fine now.
Shortly after that, the breeder stated she was disappointed with the color of the litter. Because of this she no longer had any interest in the litter, making us responsible for finding homes for four fluffy corgi pups. The wild thing is, that was more than OK with us. After spending so much time talking about our animals, experience with breeders, and our shared love of fluffy corgi tails, we jumped in head first!
Genetics
Our dams and sires receive full Embark DNA panels, which are available publicly. Pups receive targeted testing to provide insight into the health and traits of your pup.
Tails
We do not dock tales. If you want a pup with a docked tail, there is a substantial fee, no health guarantee, and the procedure must be performed by an approved professional.
Matching
Our goal is to find a home for our pups where they will be allowed to play and love their people freely. This starts by making sure our pups find the right people. We don’t interview your neighbors or ask for pay stubs. We get to know our buyers to make sure they have good intentions, and realistic expectations.
